Meet Krystin

Krystin Holland

About Me

My name is Krystin Holland (she/her), a Registered Social Worker and Independent Contractor with Pothos Counselling and Consultation Services. I have over 15 years of experience in community mental health and hospital settings, providing individual therapy to people experiencing anxiety disorders and anxiety-related symptoms. This work has shown me how prevalent and isolating anxiety disorders can be in our lives, and it can be hard to find someone who understands and who can help. Supporting people to feel comfortable connecting with therapy and to move through life without symptoms dictating their everyday existence is really important to me.

I've received specialized training in Exposure and Response Prevention (ERP) for Obsessive-Compulsive Disorder (OCD), as well as Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT) highly nuanced for Generalized Anxiety and Worry, Social Anxiety, Panic, Health Anxiety, and Specific Phobias. My approach is grounded in evidence-based practice, reflecting current best standards in the field. I'm committed to working with you to build a treatment plan that feels realistic and manageable, at a pace that works for you - with the goal of helping you take ownership of your own healing.

If you're still reading, thank you for being here. And take a moment to thank yourself, too, for getting this far. Reaching out for support is often one of the hardest steps, and simply exploring your options is already part of that process.

I currently provide services virtually across the province of Ontario.

Additional Areas of Support

In addition to OCD, I also provide specialized support to people struggling with:

  • • Social anxiety
  • • Generalized anxiety, stress and worry
  • • Health anxiety
  • • Panic disorder and agoraphobia
  • • Specific phobias such as emetophobia

If you are navigating one or more of these concerns, know that you are equally welcome at Pothos.

A Note on Who I Work With

I work with adolescents and adults aged 16 and older. I'm dedicated to creating a therapy space that feels safe, genuine, and welcoming - one where you feel respected and heard. What that looks like will vary from person to person, and that's exactly the point: this work starts with meeting you where you are, so together we can open up the space needed to do what matters most for you.
